In a Microsoft Windows 10 environment, the DL3 (FE) has a known issue where the connection to the SafeConsole server will fail after the initial registration. This causes the status of the device to be in “Factory Reset” on the SafeConsole server.
To resolve this, after plugging the device into the computer, you will need to open File Explorer and run the executable as administrator. This will allow the device to complete the initial setup without losing connection to the SafeConsole server.
*Note: You will only need to do this during the initial set up of the DL3 (FE). After the initial connection to SafeConsole has been made, you will no longer need to run the executable as administrator.
