The DataLocker drives that use a spinning hard drive, such as DL500E2, DL1000V3, and FE2000RFID, are limited in their robustness compared to our SSD models such as the FE0512 which includes a 512GB SSD.
It is recommended to use your DataLocker drives away from elements such as rain, humidity, or extreme temperatures. The rubber casing that is included with the DataLocker drives is for protection during storage and transport of the drives. Special care should be taken when accessing the DataLocker drive to reduce vibration and shock to the internal hard disk.
