Error 3031 is when the device is configured to use a proxy server for Internet access, but no valid proxy server has been entered. This is usually only used if you are behind a secure network that uses a proxy server. This is fairly rare, and if you're behind a proxy server, you'll need to speak with your network administrator for the correct address.

The most common fix for this issue is as follows:

  1. Insert and unlock your IronKey device.
  2. Go to the Settings > Networks Settings menu.
  3. Select "Use System Settings". If this option is already enabled, select "Direct Connection".
  4. Click "Management" to save the change and return to the Applications List.

This will get you back online in most cases.
