For 4.x Devices:

Sentry FIPS, Sentry 3.0, and Sentry 3 FIPS (still running version 4.x)

Mac OSX:
Resetting your Sentry drive will wipe the drive contents and restore it to factory settings. Click on Actions > Reset to restore the drive.



Windows:
Resetting your Sentry drive will wipe the drive contents and restore it to factory settings. Click on Actions > Reset to restore the drive.



For 6.x Devices:

Sentry EMS, Sentry One Managed, Sentry One, and Sentry 3 FIPS (updated to version 6.6)


Windows:

Resetting your Sentry drive will wipe the drive contents and restore it to factory settings.  Right-click on the Unlocker application in the system tray and select the "Reset" item from the context menu to reset the drive.


For Sentry K300 and K350:

If these devices are managed by a SafeConsole server, they can be reset via the same method as a 6.x device. If not, they will need to be "Zeroized" via the device's menu using the steps below:


1. Power on the device by pressing the Power button.

2. Enter the administrator password on the device.

Note: Only administrators can initiate a Zeroize action. Users will not see this option.

3. Locate the Menu screen by pressing the Up or Down key. Press Enter to select.

4. Press the Up or Down key to locate the Zeroize option. Press Enter to select.

5. Select Yes, then press Enter to initiate.

6. The device will ask “All saved data will be deleted. Continue?” Select Continue, then press

Enter.

7. The device will ask “Warning! Verify to Continue?” Select Continue, then press Enter.

8. The device will show the message “System data has been deleted.” Press any key to continue.

9. The device will now power off automatically


For managed devices:

If the Reset option is not available it may be disabled in your SafeConsole policy. In that case, you will have to reset your device through the SafeConsole Dashboard.

Click on Devices then locate the device you want to reset by the user, serial number, or other attributes. Then click Action -> Factory Reset
