When you connect a device to a Windows 10 machine, no drives are mapped in “File Explorer”

Cause: Automount is disabled on the Windows 10 system.

Please use the following steps to enable automount:

  1. Enter ‘diskpart’ in the “Search the Web and Windows” dialog box.
  2. Launch the diskpart command prompt.
  3. Enter: ‘automount enable’ on at the diskpart prompt.
