This article describes the process of creating a bootable drive for standalone devices,. If the user would like to create a Linux or a Windows Bootable image, please follow the steps below :
Requirements
- Software to create image on portable device such as rufus https://github.com/pbatard/rufus/releases/download/v4.6/rufus-4.6p.exe
- Administrator right on the machine while performing the task
- Power on the K350 and login to the device, and select connect in the menu.
- The device can be formatted by right click on the drive and choose the format type to exFAT.
- To create a bootable image, download rufus software https://github.com/pbatard/rufus/releases/download/v4.6/rufus-4.6p.exe
Open rufus, can choose the USB drive
Select the image to mount by clicking on select button
Click on Start, kindly wait for the image to be created.
Once the status is complete, eject the device
Unlock and select Boot Mode and connect the device to the machine the OS needs to be installed.
Depending on the OS, the boot menu should appear on the machine.
