The Emails sent by SafeConsole can be customized by editing the files in the C:\Program Files (x86)\safeconsole\email-templates directory. The available template files used by SafeConsole are:


administrator-added  =  when a new admin is added.
administrator-twofactor_added  =  when two factor authentication is turned on for Admins.
administrator-twofactor_removed  =  when two factor authentication is turned off for Admins.
deployment-wizard  =  guide sent to end-users to register their devices to SafeConsole.
device-password-reset  =  Response code to reset the password on a device. Sent to the End User.
password-reset  =  admin password reset.


You may edit the files to customize the emails a user will receive. These files can either be plain text or HTML. These files should not have a file extension, to edit them you will need to right click and select "open with."  You can now make changes to the template, leaving in the variables inside the {} brackets.


For example the Device Password Reset email is as follows:

Here is your password reset response code for your SafeConsole {device} - {id}


Your SafeConsole Administrator ({admin_full_name}) has authorized your reset password request.

Device: {device}
ID: {id}

Enter this in your response code box: {response-code}

You can now change the branding or add your own information to the files. To save the file simply overwrite the current file making sure a file extension is not added. You may need to restart the SafeConsole Server before the changes take affect. This can be accomplished by restarting the SafeConsole service or running the SafeConsole Configurator.

Please download the attached file for the template you would like to edit. After making changes to the file, please email the edited file to support@datalocker.com from the email registered to your SafeConsole Server as the SuperAdmin. A ticket will be created with further information provided at that point.
