When connecting an Imation Defender flash or hard disk drive, it shows as "Locked."
When a Defender product is connected to the computer, the writable drive will appear as "Locked" until a successful login operation is completed. This will be true for the Defender F100, F150 and F200 + Bio flash drives and the H100 and H200 + Bio hard disk units.
If Autorun is enabled on a Windows computer, the Login screen should come up when the device is connected. If the Autorun is not enabled or the screen does not appear, it will be necessary to navigate via Windows Explorer to the CD-ROM Defender icon and double click on Start.exe. This should launch the Login screen to allow password and/or bio-metric entry and the "Locked" drive then appears as "Secure."
When connecting the device to a Mac computer, two icons should appear, "Application" and "Locked." Open Application and double click on ACCESS to launch the login screen.
